CLASSROOMS Classes and lectures take place in the Florence Center building or onsite throughout the city of Florence, depending on the program and class. |
BULLETIN BOARDS In the ACCENT Florence Center, bulletin boards provide information about various happenings around Florence: films, art exhibits, lectures, concerts and dance performances. |
COMPUTER LAB The ACCENT Florence Center boasts a computer lab with ten iMacs as well as wireless connectivity throughout the Center allowing free Internet access for ACCENT students during business hours. |
STUDENT LOUNGE The ACCENT Florence Center facilities include a small student lounge that provides a great place to grab a snack from one of the vending machines and socialize with fellow classmates as well as other program participants. |
CULTURAL AND EVENING ACTIVITIES ACCENT organizes optional cooking courses, an Italian film club, a scavenger hunt and a soccer tournament as well as program specific concerts, operas and ballets. |
LIBRARY The ACCENT Florence Center maintains a lending library and study area with travel guides, reference books on history, art history and language, and other works of literature. There are also Italian and American daily newspapers and periodicals available for reference. There is also a free video library with the possibility of watching the films at the ACCENT Florence Center. |
TRAVEL INFORMATION The ACCENT Florence Center can provide information on travel outside of Florence, including the location of student travel agencies, train schedules, special student travel fares and rail pass information. Every student receives Buon Viaggio!, a small booklet designed to simplify train travel in Italy. |
