| The ACCENT Paris Center is first and foremost an information and resource center where students and faculty can stop in to ask questions, request academic information and class schedules, pick up mail, use the Internet, read the newspapers, and work in our study rooms. |
CLASSROOMS Classes and lectures either take place in the ACCENT Paris Center or at partner institutions throughout the city. |
BULLETIN BOARDS In the ACCENT Paris Center, bulletin boards and in-house publications provide information about various happenings around the capital city: art exhibits, concerts, special events such as Bastille Day, and various other activities. |
COMPUTER LAB The ACCENT Paris Center has a fully equipped computer lab with Macintosh computers and wireless connectivity throughout the Center allowing free Internet access for ACCENT participants from 9am to 5pm. |
CULTURAL AND EVENING ACTIVITIES ACCENT organizes a series of concerts, lectures, typically French dinners, and day-trips to allow students to better take advantage of life in Paris and to improve their understanding of the French culture. |
LIBRARY The ACCENT Paris Center maintains a lending library with numerous travel guides (Let's Go, Lonely Planet, Berkeley, Michelin, etc.), reference books on history, art history and language, and works of literature in both French and English. In addition, ACCENT subscribes to various newspapers and periodicals, as well as the Paris events guide 'Pariscope' available for perusal in the resource library. Depending on the program, students and faculty also have access to an academic library on site, in partnership with the University of California. |
TRAVEL INFORMATION The ACCENT Paris Center can provide information on travel across Europe, including the location of student travel agencies, where to find student travel fares, train schedules and other relevant travel information. |
